Human Resources / Risk Management

Human Resources, a program of CAO; support all County operations by ensuring equitable treatment of employees in accordance with labor contracts, State and Federal law, and County policies. The Risk Management and Self-Insurance Program provide loss control functions through insurance and loss financing to all County operations.  Risk Management is responsible for Property, General and Auto Liability; Workers' Compensation; and Safety.

Equal Employment Opportunity Plan
An Equal Employment Opportunity Plan (EEOP) is a document that analyzes the county's workforce in comparison to its relevant labor market data and county employment practices to determine their impact on the basis of race, sex, or national origin.

The EEOP includes a statistical profile of the Jackson County workforce by race, sex and national origin; identifies areas of underutilization; specifies corrective action; and, forms the basis of ongoing evaluation.
