Appointments to County boards and commissions are made by the Commissioners. Residency within Jackson County is a requirement for membership on most boards. Terms on the various boards and commissions vary.

Public Meeting of the Marijuana Advisory Committee for the purpose of providing recommendations to the Board of Commissioners on issues related to marijuana, including issues presented by the production, processing, wholesaling, and distribution of marijuana in the unincorporated County.
