MEDFORD, OREGON — Please join Jackson County for our groundbreaking ceremony of the new Justice Court building. The ceremony is located at 4173 Hamrick Road, Central Point, on Wednesday, August 12th, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and everyone is welcome.
Justice Court handles traffic tickets in Jackson County that are written by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, Oregon State Police, Oregon Department of Transportation Weighmaster, Jackson County Weighmaster, and some tickets written by police officers for cities within Jackson County.
The new Jackson County Justice Court Building will create an environment that is much safer and more efficient. It will feature a 1,200 square foot courtroom and county work areas.
Justice of the Peace Joseph M. Charter is the current sitting Judge of the Jackson County Justice Court and is an elected official currently serving a six year term.
