Board of Commissioners' Public Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Jackson County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing by videoconference* to accept public comment on the impacts to the citizens and businesses of Jackson County from the restrictions imposed by the Governor and the Oregon Health Authority’s (OHA) sector level guidance.  Comment will be received, specifically, on the restrictions listed on the OHA Sector Risk Level Guidance Chart effective February 12, 2021, for the following activities: social and at-home gathering size – indoor and outdoor; eating and drinking establishments; indoor recreation and fitness establishments; indoor entertainment establishments; retail stores; indoor and outdoor shopping centers/malls; faith institutions, funeral homes, mortuaries, cemeteries; offices; outdoor recreation and fitness establishments; outdoor entertainment establishments; personal services; and long-term care.   The Guidance Chart may be viewed at https://sharedsystems.dhsoha.state.or.us/DHSForms/Served/le3461.pdf

The public hearing will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021, beginning at 9:00 a.m.  If necessary, a recess will be held from noon to 1:00 p.m, and as needed.  Should additional time be needed for public comment, the public hearing may be continued to Friday, February 26, 2021.

Interested persons may provide oral or written testimony.  Oral testimony given during the public hearing will be limited to two (2) minutes per person.  The public is encouraged to submit comments in writing, either by mail to 10 South Oakdale, Room 214, Medford OR 97501, or by email to BoC-CAO_Admin@jacksoncounty.org.   All written correspondence must include the author’s name and address to be accepted into the public hearing record.
