COVID-19 Weekly Updates - June 15, 2021

Today, June 15, will be the last day for the drive-thru option providing the Pfizer vaccine at the Expo. The Walk-Thru clinic providing the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccine will continue until June 28 and then transition back to Jackson County Public Health at 140 South Holly Street. Hours of operation for the Walk-Thru will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and closed for lunch, beginning June 16.

Walk-Thru (for individuals 18 years and older)

  • Vaccine: Moderna and Johnson & Johnson
  • Operation Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • No appointment required

The last Day for the Drive-Through Pfizer Site (for individuals 12 years and older) is June 15th

  • Vaccine: Pfizer ▪ 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Anyone due for their second dose of Pfizer after June 15 is asked to visit: or call 211. People can also contact Safeway/Albertsons, Walgreens, or Walmart to schedule their second dose of Pfizer.

The County Vaccination Equity Center opened on April 21 for an eight-week mission to support the Jackson County Walk-Thru clinic and accelerate COVID-19 vaccinations to Oregon’s historically underserved communities. As of June 13, the entire operation provided over 26,000 vaccinations. The CVC has provided a safe and accessible location for people living in Jackson County and surrounding areas to receive a COVID -19 vaccine.

“Having the CVC here in Jackson County has been an amazing opportunity for our community,” states Tanya Phillips, Health Promotion Manager for Jackson County Public Health. “We could not have sustained this type of operation for eight weeks without the assistance from OHA, FEMA, and the Department of Defense. We are very grateful for their help in making our community healthier and safer from COVID-19.”

Daily Cases
As of 12:01 a.m. on June 15, 2021, Jackson County Public Health reports 39 new COVID-19 cases. This brings the total COVID-19 cases in Jackson County to 11,459.

COVID-19 Two-Week Case Data

COVID-19 Two-Week Case Data For weeks 22 & 23 (5/30/2021 – 6/12/2021), there were a total of 188 new COVID-19 cases. This is a case rate of 84.2 cases per 100,000 population. The test positivity rate for weeks 22 & 23 remained at 5.0%.
