Jackson County is pleased to announce that Eric Guyer has been selected as the new Community Justice Director.  Since April 2005, he has been Deputy Director of Transition Services at Community Justice.

Eric is a long time resident of the Rogue Valley.  He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon and a Master's of Management Degree from Southern Oregon University.  Eric is a past Head Coach of the Boys Basketball team at St. Mary's School and has also taught several community corrections-related classes at Southern Oregon University as an Adjunct Professor.  His stated objective is to "impact safety and wellness in Jackson County through effective resource management, strengthening staff and partners, collaboration with the community and driving the process of improving community justice initiatives on the local, State, and national level.  I also want to contribute as a member of the County executive management team, working to improve the lives of Jackson County residents."

Danny Jordan, County Administrator, said, "After conducting a nationwide search and performing interviews, we have determined that Eric is the right person for the job.  We feel Eric has the ability to grow the community's confidence and successfully lead the department into the future."
