Jackson County, with grant management support from Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development, Inc. (SOREDI) and Business Oregon, created the Jackson County Emergency Small Business Grant Program to provide one-time financial assistance for small businesses who have been adversely affected by the economic conditions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to the original $145,000 granted to Jackson County, we are announcing Business Oregon is now providing an additional $210,000 to businesses in Jackson County which can be accessed by filling out the application posted on the SOREDI website, shown below.
We have been working hard to get this program up and running and this addition could not have come at a better time," shares Jackson County Commissioner Rick Dyer. "We hear from a lot of businesses that they are unsure of what to do as they plan for today and the future, and we hope this grant funding keeps businesses open and people employed."
The grant application and eligibility requirements have been posted on the SOREDI website at www.soredi.org in the COVID-19 Resources Menu. Completed applications, along with the required documentation, can be submitted online or by email beginning at 8:00 am PST on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Applications submitted prior to 8:00 am PST on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, will not be considered. The grant funding to qualified businesses will be distributed on a first come, first served basis until the grant funds are exhausted.
