Staying home as much as possible during this time and practicing physical distancing remains an important strategy. It is also important to continue washing your hands frequently, use hand sanitizer if you do not have access to soap and water, stay home if you are sick, and wear an alternative mask when in public and accessing essential services.

Under Governor Kate Brown’s executive orders that are in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, here is what everyone should and should not do:

Do

  • Stay home as much as possible; this includes kids and teens
  • Stay at least 6 feet away from others any time you are out
  • Go out only for essentials (grocery stores, medical appointments, pet stores, pharmacies and medical care), drop food off to neighbors who cannot go out
  • Get takeout food from restaurants
  • Exercise outside and remain 6 feet apart from other people
  • Work in your yard
  • Have video and phone chats with distant relatives, friends and neighbors

Don’t

  • Gather in groups
  • Get together with friends and family outside your immediate household (no drinks or dinners)
  • Have playdates for kids
  • Make unnecessary trips
