I WANT TO...
At the Board of Commissioners' Staff Meeting on May 12, 2016, it was agreed to send a letter as Jackson County's protest of the Bureau of Land Management's Proposed Resource Management Plan/Final Environmental Impact Statement for Western Oregon ("RMP/EIS"). Jackson County is protesting the Proposed RMP/EIS on the grounds that the development of the RMP/EIS failed to comply with the coordination requirements of 43 U.S.C. § 1712(c)(9). Jackson County will be adversely impacted by the adoption of the Proposed RMP/EIS as the statutory and regulatory rights of Jackson County, as a local government, to participate in the development of the RMP/EIS have been ignored and violated and the goals of coordination have failed to have been satisfied.
