No New COVID-19 Cases Reported by Jackson County Public Health - April 15, 2020

[Medford, Oregon] — April 15, 2020, Jackson County Public Health has no new COVID-19 cases to report. The total remains at 47 cases in Jackson County. At this time, there are no fatalities from COVID-19 reported in Jackson County. For demographic data on the total cases, please access the Jackson County HHS COVID-19 webpage. The warmer weather makes everyone want to be outside, enjoying the warmth of the sun with friends and family.  But, it is still important that you stay home and practice physical distancing. Here are some ideas on how you can enjoy the sun while remaining close to home and still flatten the curve:

• If you’re able to maintain physical distancing, enjoy the outdoor areas of your residence.
• Have an outdoor picnic at your residence with the people you live with.
• Have a virtual picnic with friends.
• Get things done at home, such as gardening or washing your car.
• Open doors and windows to get fresh air while remaining inside.
• Enjoy solo physical activities or those with members of your immediate household such as walking, biking, running or rolling.
• Wave to your neighbors from a distance. Let them know you’re happy to see them.

When enjoying this beautiful weather, please don’t:

• Participate in group sports
• Hike on crowded trails
• Attend social gatherings
• Travel
• And, please don’t go out if you’re sick.
