Almeda, South Obenchain, Greenway MM 24, et al fires – Disaster Tax Relief
Dave Arrasmith, Jackson County Assessor, would like to inform property owners who have sustained damage or loss to their property as a result of the Almeda, South Obenchain, Greenway MM 24 fires, et al, in Jackson County, that they may be eligible for a proration of the current year property taxes.
Individuals who have suffered damage or loss of their property due to the fires are strongly encouraged to file a proration form with the Jackson County Assessor’s office in accordance with ORS 308.425.
Applications are available outside our office at 10 S. Oakdale, Room 300. They can be completed and placed in the marked box located on the wall outside our door.

All property in Jackson County is valued as of January 1 of the tax year and assessed as of July 1. Applications will be processed after the assessment roll has been certified for the current 2020-21 tax year. Your tax bill will reflect the original tax obligation due. Prorations will be processed in conjunction with the Taxation office.
The Assessor’s and Taxation offices ask that property owners keep our records updated of any change of address by completing and returning a Change of Mailing Address form located on the Assessor’s website, https://jacksoncountyor.org/assessor/General/Forms (property tax change of address) or by sending an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
