Chris Walker was appointed Jackson County Clerk in 2008, and elected Jackson County Clerk in November 2008. Chris was re-elected for terms of 4 years in 2010, 2014 and 2018.
Chris has over 25 years practical experience in both the elections and recording programs, bringing an exuberant approach to the citizens of Jackson County by combining knowledge, enthusiasm, energy, and positive spirit to the courthouse environment.
Chris, born and raised in Southern Oregon, graduated from Phoenix High School in 1984, serving as her Senior Class President. “As a lifelong valley resident I am proud of my family history. Service to the people of Jackson County has been an honorable family tradition, one that I am blessed and grateful for”.
Chris is active in many professional and non-profit organizations including Oregon Association of County Clerk’s (OACC), Past-President 2018; International Association of Government Officials (IGO), Past President 2018-19; Property Records Industry Association (PRIA); Government Sector Board Member, DHS (Department of Homeland Security) Government Coordinating Council, Elections Sector; Children’s Advocacy Center Board Member; Holly Theatre Restoration Committee Member.
