April LPSCC Meeting

Behavioral health treatment is a topic that is regularly discussed at Local Public Safety Coordinating Council Meetings, and this month's meeting continued the conversation with representatives from Jackson Care Connect informing us about an upcoming behavioral health housing summit in Jackson County. We also learned about another topic that's not commonly talked about wellness and resilience training for first responders and public safety workers. Kim Colegrove, owner of Pause First Academy, shared with us how this training is evolving to better support the mental health of these workers in the 21st century.
