July Local Public Safety Coordinating Council Meeting

Measure 110 has been a hot topic of discussion ever since its passing into law in early 2021. The new law, which decriminalizes possession of drugs and attempts to divert funding to improving access to substance abuse treatment, has presented challenges to law enforcement and public health efforts. At this month's Local Public Safety Coordinating Council meeting, we heard presentations from the Jackson County Sheriff, the Medford Police Department, and Health & Human Services on data gathered over the last couple years regarding the effects and outcomes that have resulted from Measure 110.
