A recurring topic of conversation at recent Local Public Safety Coordinating Council Meetings has been the new legislation that has resulted from recent Oregon legislative sessions. At this month’s meeting, four Jackson County agencies—the Sheriff’s Office, Community Justice, the District Attorney, and the Circuit Court—gave overviews of how the new laws will impact their various functions.
