Intake staff are often the first contact with youth, families and other agencies. Risk assessments are completed on all youth intake staff see, and based upon this risk to re-offend, intake staff will make decisions on how to proceed with the referral.
Intake staff screen and assess new cases and may refer the case to one of the following: to the juvenile's family for further action; to diversion programs; to a Formal Accountability Agreement; or to juvenile court.
Programs and services are designed to meet the needs of the victims, community and offenders with an emphasis on community safety, accountability and competency development.
