Jackson County, Oregon / Thursday, December 17, 2020 / Categories: Employee Recognition Wildlife Prosecutor of the Year Award Deputy District Attorney Melissa LeRitz On 12/4/20, Oregon State Police presented the Wildlife Prosecutor of the Year Award to Deputy District Attorney Melissa LeRitz, thanking her for her commitment to the conservation of Oregon’s wildlife. The statewide award is presented to one Oregon Prosecutor each year. This award is typically given during the Oregon District Attorney’s Association Summer Conference, unfortunately that was not possible this year due to Covid-19 restrictions. The award recognizes Deputy District Attorney LeRitz for her prosecution of wildlife cases in Jackson County. Deputy LeRitz has been the designated wildlife prosecutor for Jackson County since 2015. The award is made possible by the Oregon Sportsman Coalition. Congratulations on this accomplishment, this recognition is well deserved.
