The Jackson County Victim Assistance Program uses community volunteers to enhance the quality of our program. The program utilizes volunteers from the community and interns from Abdil Career College, Rogue Community College and Southern Oregon University. The program uses volunteers to provide office support, and to attend court hearings with crime victims. Volunteering with the Jackson County Victim Assistance Program is a wonderful way to see the workings of the criminal justice system, have an opportunity to observe court, meet interesting people and help out in the community.
People interested in becoming program volunteers are encouraged to call the office and ask to speak with our volunteer coordinator.
