Emergency Management / Thursday, August 25, 2022 / Categories: Oregon State Fire Marshal OSFM to Host Town Hall Meetings on 2022 Oregon Defensible Space Standards SALEM, Ore. - The Oregon Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) is hosting a series of town hall meetings about the development of the defensible space code, timelines, and opportunities for community input. The OSFM is working through a public process with the Oregon Defensible Space Code development committee, a diverse group of stakeholders, to develop a set of standards based on the framework established through SB 762. In addition, to continue gathering public input from Oregonians, the OSFM is hosting a series of 17 town hall meetings across Oregon. The upcoming meetings are in Detroit, Albany, and Wilsonville.
