 Jackson County Public Health: Health Promotion Programs

Jackson County’s Health Promotion Programs seek to educate, promote, coordinate effective community-based prevention strategies, and collaborate with the community and stakeholders to prevent and reduce areas of public health significance, creating a healthier community.  Programs include:

  • Tobacco Prevention and Education Program
  •  Healthy Communities (chronic disease reduction and community health assessments)
  •  ¡Cuidate! (HIV/AIDs and teen pregnancy reduction in Latino Youth)
  •  Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs Prevention Program
  •  Problem Gambling Prevention Program
