WIC provides nutrition education, breastfeeding support, referrals and supplemental foods to
help you stay healthy. WIC staff will ask about your health and eating habits so we can make WIC work for you.

Do I qualify for WIC services?
The Oregon WIC program uses a household income eligibility standard of 185 percent of the federal poverty income level.

If you have Jackson Care Connect, AllCare, Oregon Health Plan or CAWEM, TANF or SNAP benefits, you are automatically income eligible for the WIC Program.

WIC approved foods

Oregon WIC approved foods: WIC provides foods to supplement the diets of pregnant & breastfeeding women, and infants & children under 5 years of age.  The foods in a food package are based on federal regulations and are in alignment with the 2010 dietary guidelines for americans and the infant feeding guidelines of American Academy of Pediatrics: Oregon WIC food list - English

Nutrition Education

Nutrition education is the cornerstone of the WIC Program. It is a benefit and a required element of the WIC program. WIC participants are required to complete quarterly nutrition education. WIC offers online nutrition education at www.wichealth.org.

Infant Massage
Jackson County WIC is excited to provide our popular infant massage class virtually! This is a great opportunity to cuddle with your newborn and learn about the many benefits of infant massage. To count this video towards your quarterly nutrition education requirement, complete the following:

Farm Direct Nutrition Program

The Farm Direct Nutrition Program provides eligible WIC participants with checks to spend on locally grown, organic produce. Don’t forget to spend your WIC Farm Direct Nutrition Program vouchers checks by November 20, 2020.
