Apserkaha Park at Howard Prairie Lake

NEW Opening Date for Apserkaha Park:
Due to the late snowfall and buildup of snow in our parks, Apserkaha Park will now be OPENING on
Friday, May 19, 2023 for the season. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to open our parks safely and look forward to a great 2023 season.

Group Camp Reservations are currently being accepted up to 9 months to the day in advance. Call (541) 774-8183.

Apserkaha Park, located on the southern shore of Howard Prairie Lake, provides groups and individuals with a unique outdoor experience. The camp is situated on 66 wooded acres and features almost a half-mile of lake frontage. The secluded lake access is an inviting feature of the park.

Camp facilities include a preparation kitchen (only with group reservations) and covered dining area, which seats 80, twelve fully enclosed, lighted sleeping cabins, 9 RV sites with water and electric hookups, ADA compliant vault toilets, two group firepit gathering areas, showers, picnic tables, barbecue pits and an easily accessible swimming beach. Apserkaha Park Fees:
Group Camp Reservations (Includes use of Kitchen, 9 RV Sites & 12 Sleeping Cabins

• $450 per night up to 120 people
• +$250 refundable security deposit (in addition to nightly fees)

Individual Site Fees:
• Sleeping Cabins - $30 per night, per cabin
• RV Sites - $30 per night, per site (water & electric hookups)

Maximum Stay Limit at ALL Jackson County Parks: 14 days out of any 30-day period

CHECK IN: 3 PM    CHECK OUT: 12 PM


Open Dates/Hours:
The campsites and shelters are open on a first-come-first-served basis or the entire park may be reserved for large gatherings. Reservation Availability is from mid-April through mid-October

Howard Prairie Dam Access Road, Ashland, Oregon - 45 miles southeast of Medford, OR
26 miles east of Ashland, OR - Take I-5 to Ashland Exit 14, east on Highway 66 (1 mile)
Take Dead Indian Memorial Rd (Mountain Lakes) approx. 17 miles to Hyatt Prairie Rd
Go approx. 5 miles to Dam Road, take Dam Road to Apserkaha
