CAMPFIRES PROHIBITED at ALL Jackson County Parks. Due to recent fires, high temperatures, and dry conditions, the Oregon Department of Forestry has raised fire danger level to EXTREME. Due to this new notification, we have banned campfires at ALL of our Jackson County Parks, including campgrounds at Emigrant Lake, around Howard Prairie Lake, Willow Lake, Rogue Elk, Southern Oregon RV, and Cantrall Buckley parks. With fire crews stretched to their limit and the current EXTREME FIRE DANGER LEVEL, we have decided to ban campfires at all Jackson County Parks, until further notice. We will update our website if there are any changes. Thank you for your cooperation during these extreme conditions.
Due to Low Water Conditions, the LAUNCH RAMP at Willow Point has been CLOSED. Boats can still be launched at Howard Prairie Resort.
Campground Reservations can be made Online or by Phone (541) 774-8183, up to 9 months in advance and a minimum of 15 days in advance of your desired arrival date.
Willow Point Park at Howard Prairie Lake covers a total of 59 beautiful acres, includes .87 miles of lake frontage and a majestic view of Mt. McLoughlin.
Surrounded by the forests of the Cascade Mountains, Howard Prairie Lake is a popular destination, offering an abundance of recreational opportunities, and has some of the best trout and bass fishing in Southern Oregon. This picturesque park provides numerous activities such as camping, fishing, boating, hiking, swimming and an excellent opportunity to get away from it all. With prime lakefront sites and an extended boat ramp facility, including a fish cleaning station nearby, Willow Point Park offers all the makings for a fun-filled day trip or relaxing camping weekend.
Campsite Reservations are recommended but not required, and may be made online or by phone through the Parks Office, (541) 774-8183, 15 calendar days to 9 months in advance of the first night's stay (CAMPGROUND MAP).
