Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Public Improvement – Fire Tanker Apron Rehabilitation
Bids due 2:00 p.m., May 5, 2021
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Fire Tanker Apron Rehabilitation,addressed to Jackson County Airport Authority, Attn: Amber Judd, Deputy Director-Administration, will be received at the Jackson County Airport Authority Administration Office, 1000 Terminal Loop Parkway, Suite 201, Medford, OR 97504, until May 5, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. local time, as shown on the wall clock in the Administration Office, and then will be publicly opened and read.
Major project elements include:
Pavement rehabilitation and pavement maintenance for the fire tanker base at the Rogue Valley International – Medford Airport. Improvements include approximately 15,000 SY of asphalt pavement removal, 5,500 tons of asphalt concrete pavement, 1,400 tons of aggregate base, 2,300 SY of asphalt slurry seal, and drainage improvements.
This project contains contract bid items, as defined in the bidding forms, specifications, and drawings. Award of the contract will be made to the lowest qualified bidder.

No bid for a construction contract shall be received or considered by Jackson County unless the Bidder is registered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS Chapter 701.
This project requires compliance with ORS 279C.800-279C.870. This Invitation to Bid and the resulting contract are subject to the following Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) wage requirements, which are incorporated by reference: January 1, 2021, Prevailing Wage Rate Booklet, and subsequent amendments. Pursuant to ORS 279C.505, Bidders must submit written documentation satisfactory to Jackson County that Bidder has an employee drug-testing program in place.
Jackson County may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any and all bids upon a finding of the agency that it is in the public interest to do so.
There will be an optional prebid conference held on April 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time. In addition, an optional site visit opportunity will be given immediately following the prebid conference, see the invitation to bid for more information. This will be the only time made available to view the project site.
