Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by Ryan DeSautel, Jackson County Facility Maintenance at Jackson County Courthouse, 10 South Oakdale, Suite 208, Medford, Oregon 97501, until 2:00 p.m. local time on the 1st day of February, 2018. Information is available on the Jackson County website.



Located at: 205 South Central Ave, Medford, OR, 97501.


This project consists of, but is not limited to:  The removal and demo of the existing chiller (YORK 200 ton chiller) and the purchase and installation of the YORK Air Cooled Screw Chiller model No. YVAA0233BEV46BAVNXO (See Attached). The chiller must be a complete factory-assembled packaged air-cooled chiller with a shell-and-tube evaporator. The contractor is to remove the old unit from the site and will maintain all salvage rights. The unit must be disposed of according to all local and federal laws and regulations. The chiller must be fully functioning within 30 business days (6 weeks) from the start of the project, unless granted an extension in writing from Jackson County. Project to be completed no later than April 30th, 2018. The chiller must be able to communicate with the current Johnson Controls BAS. The services of a factory trained technician, within 100 miles of Medford, OR, must be available at all times. We will require a turn KEY product at the end of contract.


The work will also include structural, electrical, mechanical, removal of refrigerant, crane, street preparation, road closers, traffic control, permitting and factory trained start-up. All to be provide by the contractor.


Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference:January 18TH, AT 9:00AM, AT 205 South Central Avenue, MEDFORD OR. We will

 meet in front of main entrance doors located on S. Central.

Bids entered after the above date and time will not be accepted. At the time stated above, the Agency may either select the winning bid or reject all bids. The Agency may, at its discretion, postpone any such action following the opening, for the period expressed in Agency’s Instruction to Bidders, during which period the bids will be irrevocable and open to public inspection. The Agency may reject for good cause any or all bids, or may waive any informalities in bids, all in its sole discretion, upon a finding by the Agency that it is the public interest to do so.


Instruction to Bidders and all other contract documents may be inspected at or at the Medford Builders Exchange, located at 701 East Jackson, Medford.


To be eligible to bid, all bidders must register on the Jackson County website, and follow the instructions.


Each bid must contain a statement as to whether the bidder is a resident bidder as defined in ORS 279A.120. A copy of the bid specifications and documents are on file and may be obtained at local Builder’s Exchange.


All bids are subject to the applicable requirements of ORS Chapters 279, 279A, 279B, 279C and 701, and the regulations of the Jackson County Facility Maintenance.


All work is subject to ORS Chapters 279C.800 to 279C.870.


The Agency will not receive or consider a bid unless the bidder is registered in good standing with the Construction Contractors Board as required by statute.
