Central Point I5 Exit 33 - Use Caution During Festival

One message we are trying to get into the minds of all those traveling to/from the Country Crossings Music Festival is to avoid I-5 Exit 33 to minimize negative traffic impacts.  While there are a limited number of attendees with passes which require them to drive to the Expo, the vast majority of attendees are camping in nearby campgrounds and using the General Admission designated parking areas near Avenue G in White City and riding shuttle buses.  Access to these areas should be made using other routes/approaches.

This plan includes the drop-off/pick-up location being established at the GA parking lot in White City.  According to Festival promoters there is no place designated at the Expo for drop-off/pick-up.

The primary goal of managing the traffic around Exit 33 is to keep the I-5 ramps from experiencing any backups which may impact that high-speed facility.  Therefore, any traffic trying to approach the Expo using I-5 for this event should be using exits 30 or 35.

Remember, there is no drop-off or pick-up of attendees at the event location - all attendees are either camping nearby in designated campgrounds or are utilizing the shuttle service from White City.  There is also no way to 'get a close look from the street' so please keep these adjacent areas clear for necessary traffic.
