Engineers Wanted!

Engineers Wanted! Apply TODAY!Do you use roads? Yes! Do you want to have an impact on how roads are designed, constructed, managed and maintained in Jackson County? If so, you’re in the right place!

We are simultaneously recruiting for three similar positions at the same time within the Road Department.  The titles of these recruitments are “Engineering Associate I”, “Engineering Associate II”, and “Engineering Technician III.” Please note we will only be filling two of the positions with the best candidates from the combined pool of qualified applicants. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in Autocad Civil 3D and roadway design. Please review the minimum requirements for each position and apply only for the position(s) for which you are qualified and meet the minimum requirements (see below).

Minimum Requirements for positions shown above:

Engineering Associate I

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or related field AND two years of engineering experience; OR
  • Any combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job.
  • Must possess an Engineer-in-Training or a Surveyor-in-Training certification.

Engineering Associate II

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or related field AND four years of engineering experience; OR
  • Any combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job.
  • Must be registered as an Oregon Registered Professional Engineer through the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying within six months of hire.

Engineering Technician III

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or related field; OR
  • Five years of technical experience working in civil engineering.
