JACKSON COUNTY, OREGON ROADS
200 ANTELOPE ROAD
WHITE CITY, OR 97503
Author: J Domis/Friday, February 10, 2017/Categories: News
A sink/slide area has occurred near milepost 43 on Tiller-Trail Highway in the northern part of Jackson County near the Douglas County line. This area has a history of slope stability issues.
In some areas the roadway has dropped six inches and crews are patching the pavement to provide temporary repairs to the asphalt. Crews will continue to monitor the slide area for additional activity.
Depending on many factors including additional rainfall the sink/slide area could become active again. Motorists should use caution when driving Tiller-Trail Highway and other mountain roads as rock slides, sinks and high water may be encountered due to the winter weather impacting our area.
