I WANT TO...
JACKSON COUNTY, OREGON ROADS
200 ANTELOPE ROAD
WHITE CITY, OR 97503
The old timber bridge which was constructed in 1959 is now completely removed. Foundation work has finished on schedule to allow the placement of new concrete bridge beams later this fall.
A total of eight beams will be placed which serve as the support structure as well as the deck of the bridge when fully connected. After beam placement there will be additional concrete work as well as guardrail installation and refinishing the approaches to the new structure. The project is scheduled to be completed later in 2017.
Of special note, six of the beams were purchased at a reduced price as they had been previously used for a short time on a temporary structure along I-5 spanning the Willamette River near Eugene.
