UPDATED: Antelope Road asphalt work this week

UPDATE as of 9/18: Although the wet weather is a welcome sight near the end of summer it can also have a negative impact on road maintenance.  This project completion has been delayed now waiting for drier weather to return.  It is hoped within the next week or so this project can be wrapped up fully.  Thank you for your patience.

Crews began in earnest on Monday (9/11) doing prep work which will finish in approximately a week with final paving of affected areas.  Drivers will notice a 'patchwork' of areas affected along Antelope Roads where heavy truck traffic and other turning movements have caused premature failing of the road surface.  Grinding crews are removing approximately two inches of existing asphalt in several areas which will be replaced with new, hot-mix asphalt over the upcoming weekend and early next week.

Drivers will notice bumps, BumpS and MoRe BuMpS as they travel along Antelope Road between Table Rock Road and Division Road in the days to come.  Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes for the next week to avoid work zones as well as all the bumps.

Some work will be accomplished during non-peak nighttime hours this coming weekend.  Please be cautious in and around workzone areas by watching for workers and equipment.

If all goes as planned with no weather or equipment/material delays all work should be completed by 9/19/17 except for final striping which will have a minimal impact later.

Thank you in advance for slowing down in these areas and maybe even finding an alternate route through 9/19.
