Jackson County Roads has established weight limits on certain roads and bridges to ensure safety as well as to minimize the weight impacts on roads which were not designed to carry heavy loads.  There are also a few locations in Jackson County which have height or length restrictions which can limit load movements.  Your attention to these details is very much appreciated if you haul heavy or oversized loads.

There are a couple of things to highlight here to draw your attention to them:

- Bridge limits can not be exceeded - loads must be reduced below legal limits to cross.

- Permission can be granted by our office to haul on a load-limited road and temporarily exceed the posted limit, however these exceptions are only granted when no alternative route is available and require using a route which minimizes the travel distance on the load-limited section.
