Jackson County Roads is focused on maintaining our public road system and we are out working almost every day of the year.  This work can have an impact on motorists, and therefore we want to tell you where we plan to be working.  To see a daily list of locations, just open the PDF to the left under the 'Happening Today' title.  For our larger projects there is more information offered below and on the left.  If you have questions about our short-term or long-term projects which are not answered here, please send us an email or give us a call at 541.774.8184.

Please note the information in our Daily Projects PDF is a snapshot of what we expect to accomplish each day, yet is subject to change.

Foothill Road Extension - NEW STOP SIGNS ON COREY RD - 6/9/20

Foothill Road Extension - NEW STOP SIGNS ON COREY RD - 6/9/20

Look for new traffic control devices at the intersection of Corey Road and Foothill Road

Author: J Domis/Tuesday, June 9, 2020/Categories: Foothill Road Extension (Corey Road - Atlantic Avenue)

Our contractor, Knife River Materials, is finishing up their work on this project.  The additional roadway is now built to the north to connect with the Highway 140/Foothill/Atlantic roundabout currently under construction..  Additionally, changes were made for the traffic control devices at the intersection of Corey Road and Foothill Road.

In anticipation of the Foothill Road traffic being able to proceed through the intersection with Corey Road (when the road fully opens), effective 6/9/20 the controls at that intersection have been changed.  In summary, Corey Road traffic now has to stop and the traffic on Foothill Road gets to proceed.  Drivers are encouraged to slow down in this area as motorists become familiar with the new controls.  Advance warnings are available to help make the transition to this new configuration.

As this project finishes up in the weeks to come, please continue to watch for construction activity and workers, and SLOW DOWN when in the area.

Call our office at 541-774-8184 if you have any questions.
