This county-maintained section of Foothill Road is scheduled to be improved in 2022. The improved section of Foothill Road will consist of two 11-foot travel lanes with 7-foot shoulders on each side of the roadway. The project will smooth out curves, improve sight distance, and widen the road, enabling a safe 45 MPH design. Left turn lanes will be installed at Dry Creek Road, Coker Butte Road, and Devil’s Garden Road. This project will connect to the project being constructed by the City of Medford, at a new traffic signal at Delta Waters Road.
To allow a full understanding of the project and to answer questions, we are hosting an Open House at the Jackson County Roads Auditorium, 7520 Table Rock Road, on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, to review preliminary plans, voice any questions or concerns, and obtain any additional information. This Open House is a drop-in event and there is no formal presentation. The Jackson County Roads Auditorium is located at the end of Mosquito Lane, off of Table Rock Road (see attached downloadable PDF or embedded map for more detail).
Also attached is a downloadable PDF of a LARGE map. This PDF is large in file size as well as layout, but it is viewable onscreen by zooming in. This same map will be available at the Open House.
The Roads Auditorium is a large facility that will allow for social distancing. Currently, Jackson County requires masks inside County buildings.
Please stop by and comment on the preliminary plans. Your input and comments are appreciated and will be used to develop the final plans.
If you have further questions, please contact Mike Kuntz, Jackson County Engineer, at 541-774-6228 or kuntzm@jacksoncounty.org.
