Jackson County Roads is focused on maintaining our public road system and we are out working almost every day of the year.  This work can have an impact on motorists, and therefore we want to tell you where we plan to be working.  To see a daily list of locations, just open the PDF to the left under the 'Happening Today' title.  For our larger projects there is more information offered below and on the left.  If you have questions about our short-term or long-term projects which are not answered here, please send us an email or give us a call at 541.774.8184.

Please note the information in our Daily Projects PDF is a snapshot of what we expect to accomplish each day, yet is subject to change.

Table Rock Road Project Update - September 30, 2014

Table Rock Road Project Update - September 30, 2014

Author: Roads/Friday, September 26, 2014/Categories: Table Rock Road – Wilson to Elmhurst

Here is what is coming soon or already happening relating to this project.  Please be aware and use caution through this active work zone:

- Striping layout is being completed and stripes are tentatively planned to be applied the week of October 6.

- The new traffic signal at Wilson Road is scheduled to be activated the week of October 13 - this will be done in the evening hours when traffic volumes are lighter.

- Driveways are still being completed.  Even though many are finished, our contractor will be finishing the rest prior to the contract completion date of 10/31/14.  Thank you for your patience.

- Workers are still active throughout the entire length of the project working on various items.  Some of this work can occur in the roadway travel lanes such as adjusting manhole heights.  Motorists should still use caution, watch out for workers and obey the reduced speed limit through this work zone.  Law enforcement officials have increased their patrols since the paving work was completed as some drivers are having a difficult time keeping their speed at or below 35MPH.

- Travel delays are to be expected until completion and drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes if possible to limit traffic through the work areas.

Thank you for your patience as things get wrapped up over the next month.  Remember, the project is not over until the signs come down and all the orange barrels, cones and other construction-related items disappear.  If you have questions about the project please contact our office at 541.774.8184 or send us an email.
