Buckhorn Springs Road resurfacing project gets underway

An approximate 1.2-mile section of gravel road will be turned to asphalt over the next few months, creating a much smoother trip for many residents in the area.  Our contractor, Knife River Materials will begin work on 8/12/19 with work finishing up this fall.  Motorists are asked to slow down in the work zone to protect both themselves as well as workers.

Primary work to be completed includes adding base material to the roadway, improving drainage systems and preparing the road to receive a double-layer chip seal this fall before winter weather arrives in our region.

The project will extend from Highway 66 to the larger concrete bridge over Emigrant Creek - approximately 1.2 miles.  Please watch for construction signs, equipment and workers in the area and drive at slower speeds throughout the duration of this project.
