Elder Mill Bridge Project - 8/24/20 Update

This rural bridge structure on Elder Mill Road crossing Trail Creek is being replaced this summer.  Our contractor, Oregon State Bridge Construction started work the week of July 6, 2020.  Local residents should expect some delays, and also watch for construction workers and slow down in the work area.  To improve safety in the construction area the speed limit has been temporarily lowered to 25 MPH near the project work area.

Approximately half of the old bridge has been removed and will now be reconstructed as a concrete structure.  When this portion is completed around September 2020, the other half of the bridge will be removed and rebuilt.

Traffic control devices are in place to control traffic during this temporary one-way setup.  During the work day there may be more substantial delays as equipment and materials are positioned and moved.  Work should be completed during late 2020.
