Elder Mill Bridge Project - Starts July 6, 2020

This rural bridge structure on Elder Mill Road crossing Trail Creek will be replaced this summer.  Our contractor, Oregon State Bridge Construction will begin work the week of July 6, 2020.  Local residents should expect some delays, and also watch for construction workers and slow down in the work area.  To improve safety in the construction area the speed limit will be temporarily lowered to 25 MPH near the project.

In summary, a portion of the old bridge will be removed, followed by the new construction of approximately half of the new concrete bridge.  Once traffic is moved onto the new bridge portion, the rest of the old bridge will be demolished and then the remainder of the new bridge will be finished.

Traffic control devices will be in place to control traffic during this temporary one-way setup.  During the work day there may be more substantial delays as equipment and materials are positioned and moved.  Work should be completed during late 2020.
