Those who have ventured into the Foothill Road area between Delta Waters Road and Dry Creek Road have found what some might call a bit odd. Well over half the project has been constructed, but the remaining portion isn't really even started.
Our contractor, Knife River Materials, began work on this portion of Foothill Road on Monday, January 30, 2023 and during the summer construction season of 2023 they accomplished a lot of planned work. They also intentionally didn't start working on the area near Coker Butte Road and Dry Creek Road because this project was planned from the beginning to take two construction seasons to finish.
We are now in the phase where during the winter months there really won't be much happening. Motorists can enjoy the new roadway that was built, but also get several months of reprive from daily work being done.
Construction activity will resume in the spring of 2024 with the project finishing in the fall. But remember, other portions of Foothill Road will continue to be improved for some time yet.
