With the 'lighter' work complete in many respects, get ready for much more activity in this area. And with that comes more roadway impacts which will cause delays until this project is complete!
Our prime contractor, Knife River, is working hard to deliver this project by the planned completion date this fall. Until then, we can all do our part by avoiding this work area as much as possible. In short, if you don't need to access a driveway or business in this area, please go around. There are plenty of alternative routes to choose from which will likely save you time. Using these other routes and reducing traffic on this section of Table Rock Road will also help increase the ability to speed up the completion date. Please understand that during non-commute times (8:30AM-3:00PM and 6:00PM to 6:00AM) the contractor is allowed to DELAY TRAFFIC UP TO 20 MINUTES - and some days that will likely happen.
As you can see in the article photos, long lines of traffic are forming and many of these vehicles are just passing through. It is going to get worse too. It's time to do your part, and thank you in advance!
When complete, additional lanes, curb, gutter, sidewalk and bike lanes along with a new traffic signal at the intersection of Table Rock Road and Airport Road will keep traffic moving much better.
How to get to Costco
Generally, access to Costco off of Table Rock Road will remain open throughout the project, but using Table Rock Road will likely not be the easiest way to arrive or depart. For those coming from the south, use Biddle Road to Pine Street (Biddle turns into Pine) to Hamrick Road as your preferred route or use Interstate 5 to Pine Street to Hamrick Road. When leaving, exit onto Hamrick Road and proceed to Pine Street. In summary, try to stay off of Table Rock Road.
