The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office provides uniformed presence at the Jackson County Circuit Court and at the Jackson County Juvenile Justice Center.  Court Security Officers are responsible for all enforcement and security of all entrances to these buildings, scanning all those who are entering the buildings and searching all packages brought into the buildings.  Other duties include perimeter and interior security of the buildings as well as court room security as necessary.

Court Security Officers have located numerous weapons and drug paraphernalia as a result of their due diligence that were brought into county facilities. It is the responsibility of court security officers to provide protection to all of our citizens entering these buildings, as well as providing security for all circuit court staff.
