JCSO Public Relations Officer / Monday, December 27, 2021 / Categories: Press Releases 17-year-old Male Dead from Apparent Gunshot Wound JCSO Case 21-6795TRAIL, Ore. – A 17-year-old male is deceased after being shot Sunday night. At around 8:15 p.m. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies responded to a call in the 600 block of Netherlands Road in Trail. Deputies arrived to find the 17-year-old juvenile deceased from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. No charges have been filed at this time and all involved parties are cooperating with authorities.JCSO detectives are investigating and initiated a Major Assault Death Investigative Unit (MADIU) call out. Assisting agencies include investigators from Oregon State Police, Medford Police Department, and Jackson County District Attorney’s office. Next of kin for the victim has not been located. This is an active ongoing investigation and no further information is being released at this time.
