Additional Arrest in White City Drive By

On Friday, May 23, 2014 at 8:55 a.m. the Jackson County Sheriff’s served a search warrant to a home in the 8,000 block of Hale Way, in White City.  Jackson County Sheriff’s detectives determined the residence on Hale Way had connections to the drive by shooting on May 7, 2014. 

Devon James Wright, 19, of White City was taken into custody during the search warrant.  Wright attempted to flee from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team through his bedroom window, however deputies covering the back of the residence caught him in the backyard and took him into custody.  It is unknown if Wright has any Sureños or Norteños affiliation at this time.   

Wright was arrested and is now lodged at the Jackson County Jail.  He is being charged with Unlawful Use of a Firearm, DOC 2, Menacing, and Pointing a Firearm at Another.
