Attempt To Locate Homicide Suspect
Deputies Search for Wade Phillips
ATTEMPT TO LOCATE HOMICIDE SUSPECT
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred this morning in Central Point.
At approximately 8:50 a.m. 911 received a call that shots had been fired, and that a female subject had been struck in the 6000 block of Truax Road in Central Point. Upon arrival, Sheriff's deputies did not find the male suspect in the residence, however they did locate a deceased female victim. Investigation revealed that the male suspect is Wade Eugene Phillips. Authorities are now actively searching for him. The Major Assault and Death Investigation Unit (MADIU) has been activated to investigate the case.
Wade Phillips should be considered armed and dangerous. Wade Phillips is a forty two year old white male. He has dark salt and pepper hair and brown eyes, is five feet ten inches tall, and weighs one hundred and seventy five pounds. Wade Phillips was last seen wearing a white tee shirt with an eagle on it, blue wrangler jeans and cowboy boots.
