EAGLE POINT, Ore. – Jackson County Sheriff’s Office detectives are trying to track down a suspect they believe to be involved in a burglary.  On April 4, 2018, deputies took a report of a burglary to an unoccupied home in the 13000-block of Agate Road, Eagle Point.

The owner reported the theft of property valued at more than $20,000.  Among the items stolen were thousands of dollars’ worth of fly fishing gear, a 16-foot hydraulic lift trailer, a 10-foot flatbed trailer, outdoor power tools, and miscellaneous items.

Detectives have identified a suspect in the case as Marvin Frank Long, Jr., 44.  Long is known to frequent the Trail and Eagle Point areas.  Long is associated with a green 2004 Nissan Xterra with Oregon license plate 353 JTQ.

Anyone with information about the burglary or Long’s whereabouts is asked to call Detective Jason Penn at (541) 774-6800. Refer to case #18-6528.

Additionally, tips can be submitted by calling or texting information to Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon at 1-800-850-0580.  Depending on the case and information provided, Rogue Credit Union will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and filing of charges.  Tipsters have the option to remain anonymous.
