Deputies Looking for White City Man

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for Carlos Ruiz, 30 of White City.  Carlos has some mental disabilities and severe diabetes, which requires pills and insulin daily.  He does not currently have his pills or insulin with him.  Carlos is Hispanic, 5’4” tall, weighs about 390 pounds, short black hair, a mustache, and brown eyes.

Ruiz left his residence in the 3600 block of Antelope Road in White City on Friday, July 11, 2014 around noon to get auto parts at O’Reilly’s in Medford but never returned.  He’s driving a 2003 light blue Dodge Caravan, with Oregon license plates that read 139DES.  The vehicle also has a large sticker in the rear window, which reads “Amway 538-8864”.

Mr. Ruiz’s family has been tracking him by the credit card he’s using which showed he did make it to O’Reilly’s on Friday and the last usage was Sunday night around 9:00 p.m. at the 76 gas station in Ashland.  Carlos’ sister reported him missing Monday morning when he failed to return home.  At this time, the family does not suspect foul play and have said Carlos disappeared for a short time, like this in 2010 and was later found in good health.

Anyone who may have seen Carlos Ruiz or knows anything about his whereabouts is asked to call the non-emergency dispatch number at 541-776-7206.
