JCSO Public Relations Officer / Thursday, January 27, 2022 / Categories: Press Releases Eagle Point Man Arrested for Numerous Child Sex Crimes, Detectives Believe He Had Access to Other Juveniles JCSO Case 22-0053 EAGLE POINT, Ore. – Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) detectives arrested an Eagle Point man Tuesday after developing probable cause for seven sex crime charges against two juveniles. The suspect, John Michael Carini, 53, of Eagle Point, was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on six counts of first-degree Sexual Abuse, and one count of first-degree sodomy. Bail was set at $1.75 million. On January 4th, JCSO detectives responded to a report of a sexual assault in the Eagle Point area involving two juveniles. Based on information gathered in the investigations, detectives believe Carini had access to numerous other unidentified children.
