Update: Death Investigation Continues

The Major Assault Death Investigation Unit of Jackson County is continuing to investigate the shooting death on 112119 of a man in the 6600 block of Ponderosa St, Central Point.

The victim of the shooting is identified as Nicholas Patrick Kubasiak, 38 years old. He was a resident of the home where the case occurred. An autopsy was conducted on 112219. Results are not being released at this time.

Investigation into the matter will continue and no further information will be available until next week.
