Missing Person

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported missing person from Gold Hill, Oregon.

Subject: Jeffrey Owen Boone, 63 years old, white male,  6'1", 160 pounds.

Vehicle: 2005 Buick Century, Gold, Oregon, 627APN.

On December 4th, 2019 a neighbor reported Boone had not returned from an errand in Medford. An Attempt to Locate bulletin was issued in Jackson County for Boone. A ping of his phone showed the last location was at 5pm on December 4th in White City. He was not located that night.

On December 5th deputies contacted Boone’s mother and further information was learned that resulted in him being entered as a missing endangered person in the National Crime Information Computer and the Law Enforcement Date System. He is listed as endangered due to pre-existing health concerns.

The investigation lead to two incidents of Boone’s license plate being run in California. On December 5th at 0200 it was run in conjunction with a report of the vehicle side-swiping a guard rail near Yreka. At 0600 Redding CHP ran the plate for unspecified reasons. In neither case was the vehicle contacted.

Anyone with information that may help locate Mr. Boone is asked to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office via ECSO at 541-776-7206. The case number is 19-25165.
