Ruch Man Arrested for Murder

Detectives investigate second homicide in 24 hours

RUCH – Detectives from the Major Assault and Death Investigation Unit (MADIU) are investigating the murder of a Ruch woman – the second homicide investigation in Jackson County in the last 24 hours. 

Just after 2:00 am on July 27, deputies were called to a home in the 400-block of Tumbleweed Trail.  They discovered 23-year-old Alexis Lynn Stormo deceased inside the residence.  Stormo had sustained serious injuries.  Todd Levi Wilcox, 35, of Ruch, was taken into custody at the scene. 

Firearms are not believed to be involved in the incident.  The Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office assumed the death investigation.  Stormo’s family members in South Dakota were notified of her death.  An autopsy will be performed this week.
