Snowshoe Fire Evacuations Reduced to Level 1

TRAIL, Ore. - Based on recommendations from fire officials, the entire Level 2 (Be Set) evacuation area for the Snowshoe fire has been reduced to Level 1 (Be Ready). 

A community meeting regarding the Snowshoe fire is scheduled for tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Upper Rogue Community Center in Shady Cove.  

The Snowshoe fire is among the fires in the South Umpqua Complex.  For more information, go to https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5940/ .

TRAIL, Ore. –  A Level 2 (BE SET) advisory is now in effect for the following areas:  Addresses on the west side of Highway 227 from the Douglas County border to Loper Lane.   The addresses of 7544, 7600 on the east side of Highway 227.  All addresses on West Fork Trail Creek Road.  All addreses on Taylor Road.  Loper Lane, addresses of 214 and above.

JCSO search and rescue personnel are making in-person notifications.  Citizen Alert notifications will be made to those in the affected area.  To sign up for Citizen Alert, go to www.jacksoncounty.org/alert.
